Volunteers are integral to carrying out the mission of the Jackie L. Michael Foundation. People passionate about animals are the best advocates for them.
Volunteer / Volunteer & Animal Advocate Spotlight
Periodically, the Foundation will feature an animal advocate leader from the area, recognizing them for their ideas, commitment and hard work to bettering the lives of animals.
The Foundation will award the Lori Wills PAWSOME Volunteerism Award to an annual recipient. The award honors the work of Ms. Wills, who passed away in 2019. She was a true friend to animals and a strong advocate for pet adoption and support no-kill shelters.
All animals are deserving of love, respect and kindness. Until that blessed day when cruelty, abuse and abandonment are nonexistent, we will continue our heartfelt mission to love and heal as many innocent animals in need as possible.
~ Terri Panzi (founder of ARF – Animal Rescue Fund of Delaware County)
Create a Fundraiser
The Foundation is planning to create its own unique fundraisers to fund current programming and develop new ways of advancing our mission.
If you would like to organize or sponsor such a fundraiser, let’s talk – we’ll see if it aligns with our mission. We will also consider collaborating with other organizations, like our partnering with Kishel Photography and ARF for the annual “Runway for Rescues.”
Spread the Word
Animal lovers are a special breed. We encourage you to share the news about our new Foundation, it’s mission and the opportunities offered the animal community. Send your friends to our website and social media – and have them share with others.
Runway for Rescues Show
Since Jackie l. Michael was silent force behind the development of ARF,
the Foundation has partnered with Kishel Photography, as a sponsor, for their “Runway for Rescues” pet and people runway fashion show fundraiser.
Affinity Groups
We are open to discuss the Foundation’s possible sponsorship of animal affinity groups: types, breeds, special use, etc. We welcome your ideas.
