Animals are too created by the same loving hand of God that created us. It is our duty to protect them and to promote their well-being.
ARF provides homeless animals the promise of a loving & full life by providing shelter, medical care, & love until their permanent “forever” homes are found. ARF receives no public funding. Everything we do for the animals is only possible because of your support via donations of supplies, funds, recycling aluminum cans, & volunteering. The ARF animals & staff are truly grateful for your support!
“We could not do what we do without our incredible volunteers, Whether individuals, groups, students, or families, we greatly appreciate your time and efforts!”
Aluminum Can Collection=Saving Animals
Drop off your aluminum cans at the front of the property or at our Thrift store at 7600 W Kilgore Ave, Yorktown, IN 47396. The more cans we have, the more money to spend on the animals! Aluminum only- no canned pet food or soup/veggie cans. Thank you for your support!!

Interested in Adopting a pet?
Thank you for your interest in an ARF animal! ARF feels strongly about matching the right pet to the right home, & asks that you please fill out the application completely, honestly & feel free to add any additional information that you feel will be important for us to know.
ARF would also like to ask that when making the decision to add a pet to your life, please consider your future plans and make sure a pet fits into these plans. If you plan to move, start a family, travel, or make other major life changes, please make sure these changes include your pet.
Finally, please be aware that with all ARF adoptions, you are required to sign an adoption contract before taking the pet home that requires that at any point in the future if you are not able to care for or keep an ARF animal, the pet must be returned to ARF and may not be sold, given away, or surrendered to any other shelter or rescue.
