Grants & Scholarships

“I think I could turn and live with the animals, they are so placid and self-contained; I stand and look at them long and long. They do not sweat and whine about their condition.” – Walt Whitman (writer)

Grants & Guidelines

The Jackie L. Michael Foundation has been established so it can make grants to organizations.  From time to time, we may entertain proposals  for grants addressing specific Foundation programs or projects relating to animals

JACKIE L. MICHAEL FOUNDATION GRANT PROGRAM SUMMARY
Federal regulations mandate that our grants go only to 501(c)(3) public charities. In following Jackie L Michael’s vision of helping animals, our grant committee approves grants that benefit animals and may also demonstrate a significant human element. Essentially, our grants are focused on helping animals and the people who love them, usually in a manner that helps the animals as directly as possible.

STEP BY STEP OUR GRANTMAKING PROCESS

  1. Contact grant program staff for a pre-grant meeting by calling 765-896 8882 or 765-748-6787.
  2. Follow the short grant submission guidelines and make sure all components are included in the proposal.
  3. Submit grant proposal via email @jlm4animals.com or mail to: Jackie L. Michael Foundation
    1715 N Tillotson Ave

  4. Applicant will be contacted with approval or denial decision within 30 days of grant submission.
  5. Let us know how your grant reward affected your program or effort for animal well-being. When possible, a site visit is preferred by the program staff. Site visits are a great opportunity for the Foundation to connect with our mission and support in a hands-on way.
